Dr. Sumit Talwar is a bariatric and general surgeon with more than 30 years of medical practice. He completed his MBBS in 1994, followed by an MS in General Surgery in 1999 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. As a bariatric surgeon he is skilled in minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery, having performed keyhole procedures including sleeve gastrectomy, mini or laparoscopic gastric bypass, and robotic-assisted surgeries. He works in metabolic surgery, particularly for morbid obesity and diabetes, having helped develop bariatric programmes in Delhi NCR.
